Pretender to the throne: has the JCB TOUGH PHONE met its match?

I was having a look through Youtube today, for more videos of the JCB TOUGH PHONE, that big, yellow hardcase that’s captured my heart. I found a few nice ones, but a different video caught my eye.

Apparently, there is an American phone on the market (don’t expect it in the UK, though, it’s America only), called the Casio G’zOne Type-S. It claims to be the toughest phone ever, and to be fair, there is solid video evidence of it being waterproof and ice-proof:

However… it’s not ‘JCB tough’. I’m telling you now. It’s a flip phone, so that automatically puts a weak point where the hinge is. Let’s see how it does in some real tests:

[EDIT: There was supposed to be a second video here, of the G'zOne finally being killed, but apparently, the user on Youtube doesn't want people to see their video.........

Still, you can find it by clicking here.]

Oh dear, oh dear. Killed by a tractor, when we know the JCB TOUGH PHONE can take more punishment. Face it, Casio, in the world of hardcase mobile phones, the JCB phone is king! And G’zOne (pronounced Jeez-One, apparently) is a stupid name for a phone!

Final score:

Casio G’zOne Type-S  - 0

JCB TOUGH PHONE  - 1

Come on, you yellows!
