Mobile broadband is becoming increasingly popular as technology advances and people can stay online for longer wherever they are.

Virgin Media’s offerings claim to be ideal for anyone regardless of their needs.

USB modems come free of charge on 18-month contracts and there is a 28-day money-back guarantee with the purchase.

The provider says its mobile broadband covers some 85 per cent of the UK, meaning those who travel a lot may particularly benefit.

With three-gigabyte tariffs, Virgin Media explains, customers can download 200 music tracks per month, surf the web for 100 hours, send 2,000 emails and download 100 two-minute videos.

A one-gigabyte tariff will provide 30 hours of monthly browsing time, 700 emails, 35 music track and 30 two-minute video downloads.

Prices start from £10 per month.
