Orange has suggested the launch of a new product on its network could revolutionise the current market and be a much sought-after item.
The carrier has revealed it will be making the world’s first touchscreen-enabled wristwatch phone available next month and this will signal the release of a number of other innovative new gadgets.
It explained the LG Touchscreen Watch Phone will be followed by more devices over the next 18 months that are "chosen specifically for their unique digital lifestyle benefits".
LG’s new offering will be on shelves for a short time on both pay-as-you-go and sim-only deals and incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, 3G+ and video-calling.
Commenting, Orange chief executive officer Tom Alexander said: "The Watch Phone is the must-have gadget of 2009. It’s handcrafted, exclusively limited and will turn heads on the high street."
The network recently announced the HTC Touch Pro2 for its business users, as well as the introduction of its first Android-powered device – the HTC Hero.
