Virgin Media has claimed its latest contract is ideal for those looking to avoid the worry of unexpected charges on their bill.

This week, the carrier announced details of the new Unlimited tariff, that will allow subscribers unrestricted access to text messages, cross and same-network voice calling, and web access.

For £65 per month, customers will be able to get hold of some of the latest mobile phones to feature in the company’s range and Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media, said they will also enjoy "great value".

He added the Unlimited price plan could be "the perfect combination for high usage customers who want the best technology available, without paying the earth".

The new rate will be based on an 18-month contract exclusive to Virgin Media and will mean subscribers can also access facilities like Facebook whenever they need to without the worry of extra data charges.

Virgin Media launched a series of new adverts for its mobile offerings recently, the first since it rebranded in 2007.

Would this tempt you to switch?
