Virgin has launched a range of mobile broadband and internet EU Travel Passes for customers.
The operator’s deals can be purchased from £6 each for customers who wish to surf the internet from anywhere in the European Union.
Four different options are available with the mobile broadband package, including £10 for 10MB for one day of usage and £60 for 60 days, as well as three and seven-day offerings.
Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media, said its customers would not have to be concerned about using the internet abroad anymore.
He added: "Whether it’s searching for the best pizzeria in Rome on your mobile or uploading photos onto Facebook with a laptop and mobile broadband, customers now have control over what they spend on holiday."
Earlier this year Dr Peter Couch, head of strategy development at Arqiva – a communications infrastructure and media services company – said he expected to see a bigger demand for mobile broadband services in 2010.
