A new survey has highlighted the BlackBerry as one of the most addictive things in the UK.
The study – which was published to coincide with Living TV’s latest show about addiction, Rehab – found that people in the UK listed Research In Motion’s (RIM) devices alongside chocolate, junk food and shopping.
Also in the top ten was Facebook, the social networking website that can be easily accessed from most modern phones, including Apple’s iPhone 3G and a range of BlackBerry handsets.
In fact, the RIM gadgets even have a downloadable application to make updating and checking Facebook accounts easier.
The poll of British addictions looked at the lifestyle choices of 3,000 people under the age of 30 and asked how they spend most of their time, as well as what their income goes towards.
US commander in chief Barack Obama recently admitted he would struggle without his BlackBerry, leading White House officials to improve security to allow the new president constant access to the phone.
