A new survey has been published that looks at what many believe to be the most important features for a music-focused mobile phone.
Posted by Nokia Conversations, the poll asked respondents to choose between a range of features likely to appear on such devices, stating which is the most vital to a multimedia handset.
The results showed that 21 per cent of people believe battery power to be the most essential thing in a music-based phone, something which one reader illustrated in a comment.
"I travel long hours with the type of work that I have and mostly I got my phone’s music player as my company, I want it to last at least 24 hours nonstop," the respondent said.
Next up was good speakers with 19 per cent of the vote, followed by "other" at 16 per cent – where sound quality was an issue raised by many.
Nine per cent of people said dedicated music controls were a key feature and amplifiers, headphones and memory capacity earning eight per cent. Downloads, FM transmitters and Bluetooth took five, four and one per cent respectively.
Sony Ericsson‘s Walkman range and Nokia‘s XpressMusic series are among the audio-focussed brands currently available.
