The latest next generation mobile phones from Sony Ericsson have hit the European market, it has been noted.

Latest-Mobile reports this week that consumers will now be able to get their hands on the much-anticipated Sony Ericsson X1 – which also goes under the name of the Xperia X1 – and this could be cause for celebration.

Originally, it adds, the phone was set to debut on the last day of the month but this has now been brought forward by three days – allowing buyers to check out the handset’s range of features.

The Sony Ericsson X1 is a Windows Mobile-powered smartphone which is manufactured by HTC and comes equipped with a three-inch touchscreen, slide-out qwerty keyboard and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

In addition, the article states buyers can expect a three-megapixel camera capable of VGA video recording – with full details of the X1′s capabilities available from the manufacturer’s unofficial blog.
