Demand for both the Sony Ericsson Satio Black and the Sony Ericsson Satio Silver looks set to remain strong in the run-up to Christmas.

Just a few days ago, the manufacturer was forced to launch new software for its smartphone in order to fix a number of minor glitches.

However, despite these recent troubles, the mobile phone has now been put back on the market, with the trading director at Phones 4U expressing his confidence that the Sony Ericsson Satio will prove a popular choice with consumers over the festive period.

"Phones 4U is pleased to confirm that all Sony Ericsson Satio stock has been flashed with new software and recommenced trading on Saturday December 4th," Scott Hooton said.

"Sales of the Satio were strong over the weekend and we’re confident that the device will continue to perform strongly throughout the Christmas trading period."

As well as a 12.1 megapixel camera, the Sony Ericsson Satio boasts market-leading music functions, which make use of the company’s own mobile content platform, PlayNow.
