Ooh, not long now till the next Sony Ericsson announcement! As I mentioned in this blog post (well, alright, it was what that blog post was all about), the Sony Ericsson Rachael is due to be officially announced on November 3rd, meaning we’ll finally get to find out what name they’re going to actually call it. X3’s been bandied about, and so’s X10, but in just five days time, we get to find out for sure.
And, just to remind people about it happening, Sony Ericsson have released a little teaser video online:
Yup, that’s definitely the Rachael/X3/X10/whatever. What remains to be seen, though, is whether the phone has that unique interface that was leaked, oh, ages and ages ago, or whether that was merely a piece of fan-made frippery. I’m on two minds, since the original leak looked a tad suspicious, to my eyes (not least because it had Australian actor David Wenham in the phone’s contact list, so unless he’s a new spokesman for SE, who they’ve not told anyone about, it looked a bit suss to me).
What we do know is that the Sony Ericsson Rachael/X3/X10/whatever will have a mahoossive 4.1 inch screen (just shy of the HTC HD2, which comes in at 4.3 inches), and is said to have a Snapdragon processor. Oh, and an 8MP camera. So, in other words, it’s rumoured to be the most powerful Android phone yet made. Which is good, because the Sony Ericsson X2, although good, can’t compete with the HTC HD2, in my affections.
The Sony Ericsson Rachael/X3/X10/whatever might be able to (big screen and fast processor does it for me, every time), but we shall have to wait and see.
Still, only five days to go till we see what their new wonderphone looks like!
