The Sony Ericsson Naite J105 has an easy to use keyboard function as well as being good for the environment, according to one commentator.
Edward Chester, writing for Trusted Reviews, said the handset keyboard had a "neat and logical layout", which allows the user to type at a "decent pace".
The environmentally-friendly phone, released as part of the company’s Green Heart range, is made out of recycled plastics and designed to be more eco-conscious.
And the gadget informs the user to switch off the charger at the main plug when it is taken out of the phone.
But it has a "surprisingly nippy" web browser, which is "quite capable of showing full web pages and scrolling round them quickly".
Push email is available on the device, which means emails go straight to your handset and display like a text message. A "very nice" Facebook app also features.
Other offerings in the manufacturer’s Green Heart range include the Sony Ericsson Hazel and Elm devices.
