Sony Ericsson has piled a number of features into one handset to create what an expert states is a “multimedia superphone”.
An article for the infoSynch technology news website looks at one of the manufacturer’s latest entries into its music-focused Walkman line and concludes the device is a real contender for taking on Nokia‘s Nseries devices.
The Sony Ericsson W995 is praised for not only getting things right in the audio department – with an integrated player and Media Go software – but also offering a host of web facilities.
It explained: “The phone certainly takes advantage of the fast HSDPA networking, as well as the Wi-Fi connection, which found our open network without any intervention on our part.”
Also onboard the Sony Ericsson W995 is an 8.1-megapixel camera, interface and management software, and a range of GPS features described by the reviewer as “robust”.
The device was announced by the manufacturer in February this year.
