Sony Ericsson has launched a new mobile phone as part of its GreenHeart portfolio, designed to be more eco-friendly.
The Sony Ericsson Aspen has a power-saving mode and waterborne painting, which is to "significantly lower" exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds.
There is no paper instruction booklet included with the phone to help save the environment, but instead the manufacturer has included an e-manual within the phone.
A qwerty keyboard and 3.2-megapixel camera with digital zoom is built into the handset.
Quentin Cordier, global marketing manager for Sony Ericsson, said the phone has a "has a rich user interface and powerful productivity tools".
He added that customers can "stay in touch with the fun parts of life" because the handset comes with a media browser and various music functions.
Users can access an array of social networking sites on the phone, including Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live Messenger.
