A new mobile phone that could soon be confirmed as the biggest in the world has been built by Samsung.
The fully-functional handset has been unveiled in Chicago, US and measures approximately 15 feet in length, 13 feet in height and three feet in depth.
An adjudicator from Guinness World Records has been called in to verify the device and award the South Korean manufacturer the honour of an appearance in their legendary book.
The handset has been made in partnership with Cricket, a US-based network, and sits in Chicago’s Pioneer Court, where visitors are being asked to make phone calls and send text messages to family and friends with it.
Adjudication executive Danny Girton said: "It is a tremendous accomplishment and we are delighted to welcome them into the Guinness World Records family."
Samsung‘s current range currently includes the Tocco Ultra Edition and Tocco – both of which are somewhat smaller than this latest model.
