The new Samsung Monte S5620 will provide users with "the performance they demand" thanks to its social networking possibilities among other features, according to the manufacturer.

The full touch handset is described as being for the "style conscious" and comes with a TouchWiz 2.0 Plus User Interface.

Social networking applications such as Facebook, Twitter and Bebo are available to use on the device and the images onscreen will rotate as you twist the phone around.

Mark Mitchinson, vice-president of Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland, said the gadget was for people who want to pay an affordable price for something with a "beautiful" design.

In addition, the Monte features a 3.2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity as well as a three-inch LCD touchscreen. The producer is also set to bring out a Samsung Monte Bluetooth headset to accompany the phone.

Other devices available from the manufacture include the Samsung Jet, which has an 800MHz Application Processor.
