Consumers looking for a simple and multi-functional mobile phone should consider the BlackBerry range, it has been suggested.
According to a spokesman for Research In Motion (RIM), the firm behind the brand, the devices combine communication with access to a wide selection of portable data and multimedia facilities.
Mark Guibert, vice-president of corporate marketing for the group, said BlackBerry represented "the right choice for people seeking stylish smartphones with advanced, easy-to-use features".
He added that in addition to keeping users in touch with friends, family and work colleagues, the phones are useful as portable entertainment.
Mr Guibert’s comments followed the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 in Malawi – a move that has been made in partnership with Zain and Emitac Mobile Solutions.
The phone is available now on a range of T Mobile and Orange contracts and is just one of a range of RIM handsets that include the Storm, Bold and Pearl.
