Research In Motion (RIM) has extended the global launch of one of its latest handsets, noting that it provides a great portable web solution for users on-the-go.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone will now be made available in a host of Latin American regions in addition to featuring on the UK market and its creator has claimed this means even more people will now benefit from it.

According to RIM, the gadget is "an incredibly approachable smartphone" that combines simplicity with the kind of take-anywhere internet solutions that modern consumers require.

"For people who like to be connected, the slim new BlackBerry Curve 8520 provides easy mobile access to email, messaging and popular social networking sites – including Facebook and MySpace," the firm added.

Attention was also drawn to the full qwerty keyboard of the model, which makes utilising such features easier.

Those in the market for a touchscreen-enabled BlackBerry may be more interested in the Vodafone-exclusive Storm.
