O2 has joined forces with Shazam – a music discovery tool for handsets – to make its adverts for Priority Tickets more widely available to customers.
The phone giant is set to advertise its unique ticket system on the Shazam Apple iPhone application.
With the network’s offer customers can buy tickets for gigs and events up to 48 hours before they go on general sale.
The new advertisement is designed to work alongside the app so that if someone is listening to a Taylor Swift song, for example, and she is playing at the O2 Arena or an O2 Academy then an advert will come up to promote the event.
Shadi Halliwell, head of UK brand communications at O2, called Shazam a "perfect" way of reaching new customers.
Mobile phones currently available from the network include the Blackberry 8520, which has a two-megapixel camera and Trackpad navigation.
