Those looking for a mobile broadband solution may welcome the latest announcement from one UK network.

O2 has unveiled details of a new offer that will couple one of its most in-demand touchscreen smartphones with a number of its internet packages.

From now until December 31st, the carrier’s existing and new subscribers can get their hands on an Apple iPhone 3G through its Pay Monthly tariff and can also enjoy access to its Premium, Pro or Home Broadband services.

Peter Rampling, head of consumer mobile at the firm, said the 3 GB Internet Tethering Bolt On represented good value for those who stump up the extra £9.79 per month.

"Total connectivity means our customers will always be connected, at home and on the move," he added.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Orange would become the second operator in the UK to offer the Apple iPhone 3G. Soon after this was announced, Vodafone added that it would also soon stock the device.

Could this sell you on the Apple device?
