Just like me, I would imagine you couldn’t have failed to notice the new O2 adverts on the telly, that I can only describe as a duck race of epic proportions. And if you’re like my mate Keith, whose comment on the advert was “what the hell was that all about?”, then I reckon I’d best break down what O2 Surprises actually are…
In short, if you’re registered with ‘Surprises’, then whenever you top your O2 pay as you go phone up, you get either a prize or a gift.
Simples!
So, what do you have to do to win? Well, it’s dead easy, when you top up your O2 PAYG phone by over £10, you’ll get a promo code, to enter on O2’s site. You do that, and then you pick a duck, and that duck gives you your prize or your gift, whichever you get. Oh, and if you top up by over £15, you can play the gold game (the silver game is for £10-15), where you get to pick two ducks out, and where you can get even better prizes.
Ah yes, the prizes. There are some proper nice ones up for grabs… In the silver game, the top prizes are things like a Sony PSP, or GHD hair straighteners. When you play the gold game, though, you get the good stuff, with things like a 20″ flat-screen Sony TV, an iPod Touch, a Wii, or even a brand new Nokia 7100, completely free gratis.
Hmm, I’d be more tempted by a Nokia 5800, but hey, a 7100’s a rather nice phone, too.
So, basically, if you’re one of the loads and loads of people who use O2 pay as you go phones, you ain’t got nothing to lose, since the way you play is by, basically, just topping up as you would be doing anyway.
Hmmm, I wonder if I’ve got an O2 PAYG sim knocking about anywhere…

well well well i would like to say 1 i had an o2 fone for over 3 years on pay and go i thought it was a good net work at first with all this free stuff etc etc but if u work it out they can give u a bigger suprise if they reallly wanted and if u look at vodafone and orange free calls and text its really the same if not i would say vodafone is better and orange you should b able to top 5 pnd like them do come on o2 wake up
yes i do no u have a decent net work but if you want to be the best and beat vodafone time to make some sicrafices and raise above them
i cant complain bout o2 cos the net work coverage is 9 out of ten but come on ur o2 treats are down sort it out its bn down 5 mths try it 2211

a lot of the time i end up getting free texts to o2 numbers for the weekend or free calls to o2 numbers for the weekend. i already get unlimited texts and calls to o2 numbers anyway!!

I agree with a lot of what has been said about THE GOLD PRIZES /// i wonder myself if there are ANY winners,as they could put any name down, how do you know its true ?. I myself always top up £15 per month and am still waiting for one of the big prizes,maybe 02 will decide soon,and let me win something they are always talking about,and if they do i will make sure my photo is put onto this page,then we will know that the prizes are REAL///

I have been topping up for about 3 years now, about £15 a month. Is good for me as I have bolt on options. At the moment I have the option of 100 free mins and 100 text messages (treats I think) that are more then enough. I have got different gold suprz from free texts, free calls, internet access up to pizza offers (pizza hut – buy one get one free) and the biggest was £150 off per person (max 2 adl) for a holiday booked through one of their sites. By the way – did not get the chance to use it yet. So… yeah, if you are up for it play. You may not win anything but you can only hope.

I won free texts, and this holiday deal came up for 150 pounds off, but u had to book before a certian date and for one person. but i am only 17, i cant go on holiday on my own!
Also i got this Pizza hut voucher, were i got half off my takeaway,, but agian gotta be used by the weeekend..
Now its just mostly texts By the next day ownly and free calls….

I topped up 20 squid and won 70 free prints off Snapfish.
Oh,and i am racing a duck around the world to win,Errrrrrrrrr,a trip around the world.
It`s hard going,and he is keeping me awake nights,feeding him,giving him cuddles,and sorting out naps for him.
