O2 is extending its brand after joining forces with a managed services company.
Azzurri Communications, which deals with voice, data and mobile contact centre solutions, has helped O2 branch out further towards being a "leading connectivity brand" as well as a mobile brand.
Mobile phones such as the Blackberry – of which models include the 8520 Curve and the 8900 Curve – and iPhone will now be available as resources to the managed services company’s customers.
Ben Dowd, business sales director for O2, said he was delighted Azzurri has become affiliated with the phone manufacturer and admitted it was another part of the company’s plan to branch out.
He said: "Azzurri have already demonstrated their capability by securing the largest corporate win ever within the partner channel and we look forward to winning more in this space."
Both companies’ sales teams will work closely together thanks to the partnership and the managed services company, set up in 2000, will be in charge of a section of O2′s customers.
Talking about the move, Gordon Matthew, chief executive officer for Azzurri Communications, said the company’s focus was to make sure its customers "can be as agile and as efficient as possible".
