You may remember that, yesterday, I did a piece about Symbian phones, and mentioned the 3 Symbian phones that would be big hits this year. One of those 3 phones is whatever is made using Nokia’s S60 Touch interface, which is something we really need to see.
Well, thanks to a story on Engadget Mobile, we’ve now seen the demo of the S60 Touch OS in action, annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, there’s video of it:
All in all, quite nice. My only complaint is pretty much the same as Engadget’s, in that it looks a bit too similar to Nokia Symbian interfaces that already exist, and as a brand, spanking new interface, it needs to be, basically, all shiny, and swingy, and funky, not like a rehashed N82 with a touchscreen…
I’ll give ‘em the benefit of the doubt, though, because it could change between now and launch (hell, it’s not even running on a phone in that vid, but on a Tablet PC), and I still reckon this could be a frighteningly cool thing when it gets let loose on the world.
