Is the Nokia N96 the ultimate mobile phone?Well, we’ve had a lot of people asking us when the Nokia N96, the absolute top-end flagship amongst Nokia’s mobile phones, is going to be available to buy. Well, since we now know it’s going to be very soon (as in keep your eyes open for it in the next few days!), it’s high time I took a look at this supposed new king of mobile phones, and answer the question on everyone’s lips:

Is the Nokia N96 actually any good?

Well, yes, of course it is, it’s stunning, but this is going to be the shortest blog post ever, if I just say “it’s stunning”, and wander off to gaze at pictures of it for 3 hours. So, I’d best elaborate…

Let’s start with the looks, since it’s obvious which mobile phone the Nokia N96 has inherited them from: the N81. Mind you, not that this is a bad thing, of course, since the Nokia N81 was what’s know in the business as ‘a bit sexy’. Features-wise, the Nokia N9almost an exact continuation of the Nokia N95 8Gb, with 5 megapixel camera, bags upon bags upon bags of multimedia options, built-in GPS and, doubling that in its predecessor, 16Gb of internal memory.

So, it’s an N95 8Gb, then, but with 16Gb? Well, no, because it’s one of the first of Nokia’s mobile phones to feature the brand-new, revamped N-Gage game engine, giving you high quality games on your phone, wherever you are, effectively killing your downtime, and ensuring your brain doesn’t get bored.

You know the sweetest thing, though? The thing that makes me go, “Awwwwwwwwww, cute…”

On the back of the Nokia N96, when you’re wanting to watch mobile TV or videos, it’s a little mini-kickstand-thing, like you get on motorbikes, something not seen on any (to my knowledge) other mobile phones, and something guaranteed to make you go “Hehe, rock!

So, yes. I like it. And that’s saying something, coming from a Sony Ericsson junkie!

If you’ve been waiting for this gorgeous mobile phone, then you’re soon to be very happy, because the Nokia N96 is on its way! Grab one today!
