The Samsung Genio is a handset that may very well have younger users in mind, one expert has suggested.
Niall Magennis explained in a piece this week for Trusted Reviews that with a selection of colourful, swappable covers in the box and fast access to social networking, the model could be seen as marketed at teens.
He added that the Genio is a very compact option for a touchscreen handset of its type and noted that this makes it comfortable to hold as well as have in the pocket.
The expert went on to say that although the new Samsung is without features like Wi-Fi and 3G, it will inevitably appeal to some with budgetary constraints.
However, he concluded that a 2.8-inch touchscreen, "plenty of useful apps" and an FM radio make the handset "worth checking out".
The Samsung Genio was just one of the new gadgets that was added to Vodafone’s pre-Christmas line-up of pay-as-you-go options.
