LG has announced a new mobile phone that it claims could be ideal for first-time smartphone users.
This week, the South Korean manufacturer unveiled the details of its newest offering – the GM370 – and noted its high specification was matched only by its simplicity.
With Windows Mobile 6.1 on board, the device was highlighted for the effective way it utilises the Microsoft software alongside the company’s own 3D S-Class user interface.
Chief executive officer of LG‘s mobile business Dr Skott Ahn commented it was this that made the GM370 a valuable option for those looking to trade up to a new smartphone having only used basic models in the past.
"Starting with LG-GM730, we are introducing a new direction for phones that are smart and advanced but at the same time, user-friendly," he added.
The device was unveiled at the CommunicAsia 2009 event in Singapore, where the handset maker also showcased the new LG GD900.
Which of the two sounds the most impressive?
