A new BlackBerry handset has been added to Research In Motion’s (RIM) popular line of branded smartphones, it has emerged.
The company announced details of the latest model this week, suggesting it could be of interest to those looking for stylish design and a rich feature set.
It was noted the BlackBerry Tour would be fitted with access to 3G networks, as well as coming equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera and 256 MB of onboard Flash memory.
Bluetooth A2DP is also a feature that has been included and with the internal space for audio, video and photo files expandable to 32 GB via a microSD card – the gadget could interest those looking for a multimedia phone.
The Tour joins other handsets from RIM that include the BlackBerry Storm, Curve and Pearl – and Mike Lazaridis, president and co-chief executive officer of the firm, said it was a welcome addition.
"With its striking design and exceptional performance, the new BlackBerry Tour will offer a compelling choice for the growing number of wireless customers looking to upgrade their existing cell phone to a smartphone," he said.
