Following the announcement of the Motorola DEXT last week, Orange has revealed it will be its exclusive carrier in the UK.

According to the network, the South Korean manufacturer’s new device – which is its first to feature the Google Android operating system – will fit nicely into its recently-acquired futuristic models.

Francois Mahieu, director of devices for Orange in the UK, explained the Motorola DEXT builds on this line up and reflect the firm’s commitment to delivering such innovation to the British market.

"[It] fits perfectly with our existing portfolio of products and services – allowing consumers to make the most from their social networks on the mobile," he added.

Not only does the DEXT come with Android, it is also the first Motorola phone to feature the new MOTOBLUR user interface – which it is claimed helps synchronise contacts, messages, media files and social networking facilities.

Other recent exclusives from Orange have included the Toshiba TG01 and the LG Watch Phone.

Which is the most exciting exclusive of the trio?
