LG mobile phone users are being invited to take part in a competition that celebrates the summer.

The manufacturer – which counts devices such as the Arena, Viewty and Cookie among its range – has launched a new campaign that is linked to its online Loop photo-sharing portal.

As part of the Life’s Good This Summer initiative, the South Korean firm will offer snappers the chance to use their cameraphones to win VIP tickets to the Relentless Boardmasters festival in Newquay.

In addition, mobile users who best capture the sunshine in their photographs will be put up for two nights at a hotel and given a £150 travel allowance to get to the show.

"As well as giving consumers a user-friendly platform to share their favourite images with friends and family, Loop also offers the chance of winning top prizes this summer" said Jeremy Newing, head of marketing at LG Mobile in the UK.

The LG Arena is also known as the KM900 and was launched earlier this year.
