A new article has singled out the LG GT500 as a handset that is the latest in a long line of budget touchscreen models.

Those in the market for new mobile phones may welcome the comments of Edward Chester, who explained in his most recent piece for Trusted Reviews that the low-cost model was worthy of note.

He explained this is because the South Korean manufacturer has continued to bring products like this to the market, noting that this particular entry in its range was "a fine example".

One area highlighted was a "quick and responsive" operating system, as well as a simple and effective menu system that "does the phone basics well".

LG have equipped the GT500 with a five-megapixel camera, LED flash and three-inch touch-enabled screen, as well as support for 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS and a two-way camera system.

It was also put to the test by experts at the Link recently, who decided the model was a solid purchase considering its availability free on certain contracts from T-Mobile.

Is this a device you would consider?
