The rumoured HTC Vision and previously unheard of HTC Ace are to be released in the UK in October, according to internet reports.
The news is based on a leaked memo which GSMArena says listed the planned release dates for several handsets, including the two Android smartphones.
It’s previously been claimed that the HTC Vision is the HTC Desire but with a slide-out four-row QWERTY keyboard like the HTC Touch Pro 2.
Other reported features include a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, Android 2.1 operating system with Sense user interface and a square optical trackpad.
It’s possible that the HTC Vision could be the first high-end Android phone with a QWERTY keyboard when it is released. Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 Mini Pro runs on Android and has a QWERTY keyboard but it also has a smaller processor and runs on Android 1.6.
Not much is known about the HTC Ace yet. One blog, Tracy and Matt, has speculated that it will be a cross between the HTC Evo and HTC Incredible (both unreleased in the UK thus far) and may have Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), a dual-core Qulacomm Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch screen and an eight-megapixel camera.
The duo say that HTC have not confirmed any of the speculative specs yet.
