Pamela Anderson is helping to launch the Nokia N8 and its whopping 12-megapixel camera – and make a lucky fans dreams come true. The former Baywatch actress will film a bedroom scene with a stranger for the short film called The Commuter recorded in HD using a Nokia N8 phone.
And the stranger could be you! Nokia is picking the co-star through a prize draw in which people will have to go to a web page, become a fan of the Nokia UK Facebook page and provide contact details.
The closing date is September 16 and the shoot will take place on September 20.
Females need not feel left out as they can enter a similar competition to film a scene in a lift with Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick.
The winners will also be invited to the film’s London premier.
John Nichols, head of marketing at Nokia UK, said: “We wanted to create something very special for the launch of the Nokia N8 that showcases the Hollywood quality of its camera.”
The Nokia N8 is due to be released at the end of the month, which should tie in nicely for the film’s premier. Nokia will be selling the phone on a SIM-free deal for £429 or for free with T-Mobile as part of a £35-a-month tariff, although other networks will be releasing their deals nearer the phone’s release.
It has a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and an Xenon flash, HD video capture and a HDMI port for streaming video and images to your TV and Dolby Digital Surround sound support. It will run on the Symbian^ 3 operating system for much faster browsing and well integrated Ovi services and apps.
