Musician and business mogul Jay-Z has been snapped with his BlackBerry, which he keeps in a white case.

According to Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings, the rapper was seen carrying his smartphone this week.

Also spotted with one of the handsets was Winona Ryder, as well as newly-single Lindsay Lohan and Strictly Come Dancing champion Alesha Dixon.

Meanwhile, fellow BlackBerry user – The Hills star Lauren Conrad – was papped accessorising her quilted Chanel handbag with one of the phones.

Her cast mate Stephanie Pratt was also captured on camera having lunch with sister-in-law-to-be Heidi Montag and her trusted handset.

Of course, celebrity credentials are not necessarily needed to own a BlackBerry.

Current models, which could be suitable for all types of consumer, include the Bold and BlackBerry Storm.

The latter is one of the newest in the range and has a touchscreen interface as well as a built-in GPS system and 3.2-megapixel camera.
