Lovers of the HTC HD2 smartphone can now get their hands on the gadget via Virgin Media.

The device is no longer available with Vodafone, but now it will hit the market on a Virgin Media £30 24-month contract.

Jonathan Kini is director of mobile at the company and said the HTC HD2 was "stunning".

"Its launch kick starts a new range of high-end handsets coming to Virgin Media, perfect for mobile internet, social networking and entertainment on the go," he added.

The HD2 comes with a capacitive touchscreen, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and a 1Ghz snapdragon processor.

Users can browse the internet with Opera Mobile, with a download speed of up to 7.2Mbps.

A five-megapixel camera and auto focus could be ideal for those who want to take pictures and upload them to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, while Windows Media Player also comes as standard.
