A new device has been launched on the O2 network that the carrier has described as being packed with features.

Joining models in the company’s smartphone range that currently includes the Apple iPhone 3G S and the Palm Pre, it was noted that customers could now get their hands on the HTC HD2 through the group.

The mobile is the first to arrive on O2 from the Taiwan-based manufacturer and combines Microsoft’s brand-new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system with the HTC Sense user interface.

In addition, the HD2 features a 1 Ghz processor, as well as support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, alongside a 3.5mm headphone socket and an integrated five-megapixel camera.

"We are proud to be the home of smartphones and the HTC HD2 adds a new dimension to the range of devices we offer to our customers," said O2′s general manager of devices in the UK Steve Alder.

Which of O2′s smartphone trio is the most impressive?
