The Google Nexus One is "brought to life" by a powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor, according to one reviewer.
T3 said that the Android 2.1 operating system, which is "incredibly intuitive" and as smooth as the Apple iPhone’s, runs smoothly on the HTC-built phone thanks to the processor, with "no waiting for stuttering apps to load".
In addition, a "gorgeous" 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, which is "very responsive", is among one of the phones intriguing features.
Photo viewing on the screen is "particularly good", push email is easy to set up and it can even sync with Facebook.
A five-megapixel camera is included with built-in LED flash and video recording.
To conclude, the reviewer said: "With superb hardware and software that’s a joy to use, the Nexus One is the best Android phone to date."
The Apple iPhone 3GS – which comes with a three-megapixel camera and voice control – is outstripped by the powerful processor on the Nexus One, however the writer maintains the HTC/Google creation is not quite an iPhone "killer".
