The emergence of the Google Nexus One pleased many in the industry who were waiting for a smartphone from the search engine – but others claim to have experienced technical problems with the handset.
According to Trusted Reviews, which followed on from an original report by the BBC, "an apparent glitch or two" has been flagged up by eager beavers who say the main flaw is affecting overall performance. Another gripe is reported to relate to Google account synchronisation.
However, the website said most of these problems are being experienced in the US and not the UK – despite the search engine’s "impressive" entrance into the mobile sector.
"We’ll cut Google some slack here … but the smartphone industry waits for no-one, not even the king of search," Trusted Reviews added.
The Nexus One is to be available in this country via Vodafone when it is launched.
US customers can buy it directly from Google or via T Mobile.
