Here’s a story that should surprise absolutely no-one (what with Carphone Warehouse being one of the UK’s exclusive retailers for the iPhone, since day 1). According to Apple Insider, a leaked photo’s appeared, showing Carphone Warehouse’s stock system, and… it’s got the version 3 iPhone listed on there.
There’s two possible alternative theories as to what those entries mean: 1/ Carphone Warehouse, as an exclusive partner, are privy to Apple info before anyone else, and so have geared up their systems accordingly; or 2/ Carphone Warehouse are watching the same rumours we are, and have set up their systems like that, just in case.
I tend to favour the former.
So, if the former is true, it would indeed be confirmation that the next iPhone is going to come in both 16Gb and 32Gb flavours. Other than that, their stock system tells us very little else, unless of course, it really is called the Apple iPhone V3, which would, granted, be a pretty cool name to call it.
Still, we shall find out soon enough, since the next iPhone is supposed to be launched next week.
