The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has yet to get an official release date or price plan but internet reports are claiming Vodafone will be offering it on tariffs as low as £15-a-month.
Rumours are also circulating that O2 is planning to release the smartphone on October 4 after website iBenRowe said it had a tip-off from people working at the network.
The leaked price plans originate from BlackBerry Leaks, which claims to have a Vodafone pricing sheet. It allegedly shows the network will offer the phone on 18-month contracts costing from £20 to £30-a-month and for just £15-a-month on a two-year tariff.
The BlackBerry Torch itself will cost between £49 and £399, which seems quite expensive.
It’s the first smartphone to run on BlackBerry’s OS 6.0, which is being pushed as its weapon against rivals HTC, Samsung and Apple.
The Torch 9800 will also have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, three-inch touchscreen, 624 MHz processor, visual voicemail, an optical trackpad, five-megapixel camera and 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Other phones that are expected to have BlackBerry OS 6.0 include the BlackBerry Storm 3, codename Odin, and is very similar to the existing Storm phones such as the Storm 2 9520.
