BlackBerry’s recently released Curve 3G smartphone has landed on Three – and it’s offering the best deals across all the main networks at the moment.
Three say the phone, aka the BlackBerry Curve 9300, is an affordable smartphone, which offers fast web browsing and mobile social networking.
The phone has BlackBerry’s trademark easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard, an optical trackpad, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, a two-megapixel camera, built-in GPS and a dedicated media key so that people can easily access tracks to listen to music on the move.
While the phone initially runs on BlackBerry OS 5.0, it is likely to be updated to BlackBerry OS 6.0 in the near future.
Initial reviews of the BlackBerry Curve 3G liken it to the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Bold 9700.
Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three, said: “Throughout 2010 our range of BlackBerry devices has continued to grow. Adding the Blackberry Curve 9300 means that we are able to offer even more affordable choices to our customers.
“The 9300 offers a super-fast internet experience thanks to its 3G capability. When paired with our high speed network, accessing your favourite web pages and social networking sites with Three can be done with ease.”
Three may have joined the BlackBerry Curve 3G party late but it’s offering a very competitive package with the phone free, along with 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £20-a-month.
T-Mobile, Orange and Vodafone all offer the phone for free for £20-a-month but with less free minutes O2 starts at a £25-a-month tariff.
