Apple announced yesterday (April 8th) some of the features that its iPhone OS 4 will have, which included multitasking for third party applications.
The new feature allows consumers to move through apps more easily, according to the manufacturer and gives developers seven new options to add different aspects to their apps.
Audio for applications is one addition that Apple has made so music can now play in the background of the function.
Steve Jobs, chief executive of Apple – which released the iPad earlier this week – said the operating system is the world’s most advanced.
He added: “We’re delivering over 100 new features, including multitasking, folders, a unified inbox, deeper enterprise support and an iPhone version of our iBooks reader and online iBookstore.”
People who have an iPhone or an iPod touch will be able to use more than 100 new features with the new operating system.
