LG‘s latest foray into the world of the Android operating system has premiered at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Pictures on the Pocket Lint blog show a smooth and sleek handset called the LG GT540, designed specifically with the social networker in mind.
Equipped with a three-megapixel camera, 32 gigabytes of expandable memory and media playback capabilities, it also comes with "all the Google gubbins you’d expect, such as Google Maps".
Users can apparently access popular sites such as Twitter and Facebook with efficiency and ease.
LG said it would be "the ideal smartphone for first-time smartphone users" upon its UK debut, which may follow its global launch in April of this year.
It also described the gadget as having "sassy style", with four colour options and personalisation potential for widgets and themes.
Of course, followers of all the goings-on at this year’s CES may know that another LG smartphone – the GW990 – has also been revealed.
Images published on the CNET blog show "a phone so big it’s pushing into tablet territory".
