Amazon will be launching their Kindle application on smartphones running Google Android.
The Amazon Kindle for Android App will be free to download and will let Android users read Kindle books on their phones.
Like the iPhone app it will let you start reading your Kindle book where you left off whether it’s on your smartphone or computer.
There is no release date yet but Amazon say the smartphone app will be availbale for download this summer.
Smartphone owners will be able to choose from over 540,000 books in the Kindle Store, costing from $9.99 (£6.90).
The app will work particularly well on smartphones with biggers screens such as the Google Nexus One, HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
