Samsung will announce ‘SOMETHING NEW’ at CES 2013

Consider Samsung, right. They’re massively successful in the mobile industry, and a big part of their success is their advertising. They seem to love making teaser trailers for, well, pretty much everything, and today, they’ve put out a new one…

Basically, something is going to be announced at CES 2013, but as for what that something might actually be… well, Samsung are being typically tight-lipped. So, what might be hovering on the horizon, waiting to be unveiled?

Well one thing it’s not likely to be is the Galaxy S4. It doesn’t make a whole heap of sense to announce that phone at CES when the Mobile World Congress is happening a mere handful of weeks after CES. But then, of course, they didn’t announce the Samsung Galaxy S3 at MWC 2012, either; instead they held their own Samsung Unpacked event, and unveiled it there, much like Apple do with the iPhone at their own event.

So, not the Galaxy S4, then…

It’s also unlikely to be the sequel to the Samsung Galaxy Note II, ‘cos that phone ain’t been out that long, so it’s a bit soon, really. But if it ain’t those two phones, what could it be? Well, folks, cast your mind back to the start of November; I did a post back then, about how Samsung were planning on completely rebranding the company. Annnnnnnnnnnnd when did they say the rebranding would be unveiled?

CES 2013.

So, to me, that seems like it could possibly be the most likely At CES 2013, if the rumours are true, and all that, we’re going to see the new Samsung…

About TechnicalMarkus

It's a little known fact Technical Markus has now beaten both his Transformers addiction AND his Mass Effect addiction, by replacing both with an equally obsessive addiction to XCOM: Enemy Unknown and buying Humble Bundles for his Android phone. At the moment, he's pondering the actual usefulness of smartwatches and smart glasses, even if the nerd in him is shouting for joy at how sci-fi they are. He spends his spare time being whinged at to figure out what's wrong with other people's mobile phones, and drinking unimaginable quantities of tea. With milk. And three sweeteners, thanks for asking. Oh, and he's got an HTC One X, but he reckons his next phone might be a Sony, the turncoat...
