Nokia N97, HTC Magic and Windows Mobile 6.5 release datesA whole slew of release dates have popped up online over the weekend, thanks to the Boy Genius Report, and over the course of the next couple of months we’ve got some exciting stuff to look forward to!

First up, arriving on May 5th, we’ve got the second official Android phone, the HTC Magic, which takes the Android formula laid down by the T-Mobile G1 and takes the keyboard away. It’s a touchscreen-only device, running a new onscreen keyboard, but it still comes with all the good bits you get on the G1, namely the Android Marketplace, sleek gesture controls, and really tight integration with Google’s services.

Oh, and let’s not forget, the HTC Magic looks mint. Mintier than the G1, anyway, a phone I never cared for the look of. The HTC Magic, however, even looks good in white, which traditionally (but not here) makes the phone look like it should be called Gavin, and should be drinking White Lightning, in the back of an XR3i.

Amazingly, that’s not the case on the HTC Magic, which will be dropping onto Vodafone on May 5th.

Next on the list is Windows Mobile 6.5, due to land on May 11th. It’s not clear at the minute whether that’s going to be inside a new phone, or whether that’s just the date the operating system goes live to download, but either way, the next iteration of Windows Mobile is landing on May 11th.

Finally, the big one. The Nokia N97. Again, you’re looking at it being a Vodafone-scoop, although the actual release date is a bit vague, since they’re just saying July on their site. So, expect it to arrive on July the mumblemumblemumble
