The LG Viewty Smart, the sequel to the original Viewty, has turned a lot of heads before it’s even gone on sale. I know a lot of people who say they’re after this gorgeous little camera phone when it goes on sale.
Well, according to Pocket Lint, they, and you, won’t have to wait much longer until it gets released!
Well, in fact, they say the LG Viewty Smart has already started being shipped out to Orange stores, although I’m having real trouble confirming that. What I can confirm, though, is that Orange have it listed as Coming Soon, so hopefully that means a release is just round the corner!
Also, long-term readers will remember that ages and ages ago, it was rumoured the Viewty Smart was going to be both a summer release, and an Orange exclusive. Well, that seems to have been accurate, since Orange look to be the only network punting it at the minute. So, keep your eyes peeled, because as soon as it appears to buy, you KNOW we’re going to get it on site!
Ah, but that’s not all, though. The LG Viewty Smart may be a damn good camera phone, at 8 megapixels, but LG have also let slip that they’re going to be launching a 12 megapixel camera phone, later in the year. And since you can almost guarantee it’ll be a touchscreen phone, it seems like they’re taking the fight straight to the Sony Ericsson Idou.
I sense a monumental scrap brewing…
