If you have a scoot around this world wide web we call home, you’ll see one issue popping up over and over again. Whether it’s Windows Mobile, Nokia, or Sony Ericsson fans saying “my phone can do so much more than the iPhone“, or Apple fans saying “your meagre efforts cannot come close to the glory of the iPhone“, the one thing guaranteed to split opinion in the world of mobile phones is that mobile phone with the half-eaten apple on its back. Well, it’s time to settle this argument, once and for all…
Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce Mobileshop’s new ongoing series, iPhone Killers… Over the coming weeks, I’m going to put a whole range of mobile phones up against Apple’s baby, and see for ourselves which ones are best, which fall by the wayside, and at the end of it, which phone rightfully deserves the title of iPhone Killer.
And that, right there, is where you guys come in, because I want to know exactly what you think makes for an iPhone Killer. What stuff do you think I should be testing? When I pit a competitor against the iPhone, should I be testing the camera, or the internet, or GPS, or even something completely out of leftfield like how long it’ll be before you find the phone doesn’t do something that you want it to?
Anything goes (except smashing them to bits, because it breaks my heart to do that to any phone), so get commenting below, and tell me what exactly what you want to see as we pit phone against phone in a massive battle royale. To the death, naturally.
To you all excited, here’s the list of mobile phones (updated after each fight) that are going to be stepping into the ring with the iPhone, and our very own iPhone Killers league table!
