HTC Bravo - new image and awesome specsYesterday, I ran a blog post about the leaked HTC roadmap for 2010, and as I’m sure you’ll remember, it was split up into categories, with different phones coming under the heading of Design and Lifestyle, Social, Performance and Productivity. It’s the Performance category we’re interested in today, as it only contained one phone, albeit a phone that was, to put it mildly, a bit of a powerful beastie.

That phone’s the HTC Bravo, and today, thanks to ai.rs blog, we’ve got a new piccie of the phone, and a triumphant recap of those awesome specs (that’s specs as in specifications, not as in glasses, obviously, although, yes, as lame as it is I did run with that joke in the piccie on this post)…

As I said yesterday, there are two particularly exciting bits of info in the specs that’ve been leaked for the HTC Bravo, so far. The first bit is that the phone’s running on a Snapdragon processor, at 1GHz, so it’s going to be a bit nippy. That’s going to, of course, make the phone’s interface rather responsive, although bizarrely, while it’s got the old flippy down clock you find in the Sense UI, it doesn’t appear to have that curvy bottom bit that Sense has.

Whether that means the pic’s an early render or what, I couldn’t say. But you can almost certainly guarantee it’ll have the Sense UI sat on top of the standard Android interface. Well, that’s what I reckon, anyway.

The second exciting bit is the camera, because while the still image resolution is 5MP (just like the HTC HD2, which WILL be my next phone… if I keep saying that enough, do you reckon HTC might feel sorry for me and send me one for nowt?), it’ll now capture HD video at 720p resolution. That puts it up there with the likes of the Samsung i8910 HD, in terms of video capture.

However, there’s another bit of info that jumped at me about the specs, and it’s to do with the screen. Yes, it’s capacitive, and yes, it’s nice and big, at 3.7 inches. But the exciting bit is that it’s an AMOLED screen (which translates as being brighter and prettier). To the best of my knowledge, it’s the first time an HTC phone’s had an AMOLED screen, so yes. Exciting.

There’s no word on release dates or pricing yet, but I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that the HTC Bravo, which is surely destined to be their flagship Android phone, might almost be as alluring as the HD2…
