BIRTHDAY GREETINGOk, so, technically this is a belated happy birthday, as we missed the ACTUAL birthday, because it was on December 3rd, but it’s the thought that counts.

Exactly 15 years (and a few days) ago, the first ever recorded text message was sent between phones, as related on Engadget. Well, ok, it’s technically its second 15th birthday this year, depending on whether you by when the technology was made, or when the first text was sent. Personally, I reckon the 2nd, since you measure your own birthday from when you were born, not from when your mam and dad… well, you know…

Anyway, texting is now officially 15 years old, and it’s now EVERYWHERE. What started out as something like a business pager service, that then morphed into something for the teenie generation, is now a serious communication tool used by damn near everybody.

It’s quick, it’s dirt cheap, and it’s easy. No wonder it’s hung around.

So, everybody, come on, sing along!

HPY BRFDAY 2 U,

HPY BRFDAY 2 U,

HPY BRFDAY DR TXTING…

HPY BRFDAY 2 U!
