A group of pranksters has caused a bit of a stir on the net, with their mock-up of the big (read that as stupidly huge) HTC Magnum, according to The Register.
I have to kind of admire, if I’m honest, because they went so far in their prank as to actually make a demo unit (presumably using a PC monitor or something), that flashes up a program on screen that simulates an HTC device doing its thang. I mean, the timing alone, to get his finger prods right must’ve been a nightmare. Have a look at the vid (warning: it’s not in English, so I have no idea what he’s saying):
Despite them coming clean, and saying it was a prank, the net is rife with rumours to the contrary, saying that it really is a working device (meaning it’s either huge, or he’s reeeeeeeaally tiny), and that it’s viral marketing for a real HTC device that fits in that product category.
Which I don’t believe for a second. Gag gone too far, methinks (but it’d be nice if they were making one, even if just for a laugh)…
