There’s no doubt, the Nokia N97 is one of the most anticipated phones of the year. Loads of people are clamouring all over any press photos, or leaked images that appear online. Well, now there’s a new image of the Nokia N97, courtesy of Engadget Mobile, where’s it being reported that the Nokia N97 has gone through FCC (the American equivalent of Ofcom) checking, and will be sold in America.
But we’re in Britain. We don’t care about it going on sale in America.
So, I’m reporting here on something entirely unrelated to its availability in the US.
Its colour.
Dear god, that’s really very pink…
Now, it’s not unusual for Nokia to release pink phones, but it’s relatively rare in their Nseries range. But hey, if you’re releasing a flagship phone as all-conquering as the Nokia N97 promises to be, you want people to get their hands in their pockets, and buy it, right? And although I only know about 3 people who would buy a phone purely on the basis of it being pink (curiously, one of them isn’t a woman), there’s no doubt that some people will want the pink version over the black and white ones. Even though the black and white versions look much, much nicer.
Human nature for ya, I suppose. Give ‘em high tech, and some people’ll want to dress it up like a Barbie doll! There’s no word on availability, yet, but rest assured, all you girly girls out there (and that one person who, curiously, isn’t a woman), I’ll have more info when it turns up.
